Just before the holiday vacation, second grade students from Clay Elementary School celebrated International Day. Exchange students from several Lancaster County High Schools shared how their native countries celebrate various holidays.
Students tasted foreign foods, played games, and learned to count in different languages. The countries represented were Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Mexico, China, Indonesia, and Brazil.
The exchange students came to Clay through the SHARE High School Exchange Program and were sponsored by Educational Resource Development Trust, a nonprofit educational foundation.
