The EASD Food Service Department strives daily to serve our students tasty, nutritious options. Here are some of the healthy options we serve daily:
Get the Facts on: Calcium & Vitamin D
Your body and bones need it! Milk, cheese and yogurt are a great way to get it!
Serve low-fat (1%) and fat-free milk
Offer flavored milk to encourage your children to drink more of it
Use low-fat milk, cheese and yogurt when cooking and baking and
offering them as snacks
Use low-fat or fat free yogurt as dips for fruit or vegetables
Low-Fat Smoothie: Cool Blue
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, 1 container of low-fat blueberry yogurt, 1 cup 100% grape juice.
Add all ingredients plus a few ice cubes into a blender and mix until thick
