Online Learning Modified Traditional
All students will be assigned to an Intermediate School homeroom and a teacher.

The curriculum will be the same as what is being taught in the Modified Traditional Mode and will be at the same pace.

Students will be required to participate at the same time as their classmates in an hour each of instructional time for English Language Arts and Math, and a half hour each for Science, Social Studies, and Related Arts every day. The classroom teacher will communicate the schedule of online sessions to families on a weekly basis.

In general, some support may be needed from parents/guardians to assist students with logging on and completing assignments.

The daily schedule of instructional time will happen at the same time it’s happening for their Modified Traditional homeroom.

Students will have daily opportunities to interact through technology with their teacher and classmates who are participating in the Modified Traditional Mode.

Students may need to pick up supplies from the Intermediate School for coursework or engage in an alternate activity depending upon the project, course, or assignment.

Grab-and-Go meals will be available for pick-up one day a week under the regular school-year meal program.

All students will be assigned to an Intermediate School homeroom and a teacher.

Students will generally follow their regular schedule, five days a week, with some minor adjustments to accommodate efforts to:

  • minimize student movement out of the classroom,
  • increase the ability to achieve social distancing expectations,
  • improve cleanliness of surfaces, and
  • reduce contact with others.

Students will stay in their homerooms for their instruction in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies while their respective teachers will trade rooms for these different subject areas.

Students will have daily opportunities to interact through technology with their classmates who are participating in the Online Learning Mode.

Lockers will not be issued to students and will only be available in special circumstances approved by the building Principal.

Bagged meals will be available under the regular school-year meal program. Lunch will be eaten in either the cafeteria or a portion of the gym, based on the lunch schedule.

Recess will be conducted in a way that does not commingle students from multiple classrooms.

Parents/guardians will need to select whether their child will ride a District bus or whether parents/guardians will make other transportation arrangements. Please consider the following when making a transportation selection.

  • Face coverings will be worn while boarding and departing the bus.
  • Bus seats will be numbered and assigned for each route.
  • Face coverings will be required for the duration of the bus ride when legally required.
