Hundreds of protesters against President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have been arrested in Washington, DC. Comedian Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski were among 302 people held for demonstrating against the nominee. Republicans earlier declared an FBI report had exonerated him of sexual assault allegations. But Democrats said the five-day inquiry was “incomplete” because it was limited by the White House. The Senate will hold a procedural vote on the nominee today.

In other news,

The Tesla boss tweeted the “Short-seller Enrichment Commission”, as he dubbed the Securities and Exchange Commission, was doing “incredible work”. Last weekend Musk agreed to step down as Tesla chairman and pay a 20 million dollar fine over tweets that he had funding to take Tesla private. The deal followed the SEC’s decision to sue him for alleged securities fraud. The SEC declined to comment on Mr Musk’s latest tweet.
