Ephrata AM 11-13-18

Good Morning Ephrata, NAMES today is Tuesday November 13! Please rise for a moment of silence and the pledge to the flag.

Attention all 10th graders:  Today is the day that you can begin to sign up for a time slot for your individual transition meeting with your counselor.  These meetings begin on Tuesday, December 4th, with signup information located on the EHS Counseling Department website.  Sign up for a slot as soon as possible, and be sure to pick a date and time that works best with your schedule.  If you have a study hall, you will definitely want to choose that period.  Heck, why not do it right now- pull out your laptop and pick a date and time.

If you have any questions, please stop by the Counseling Office.

Attention winter snow lovers!!!  Ski season is just around the corner.  If you are planning to join Ski & Snowboard Club this year – listen up!  The time to sign up is NOW.  See Mr. Shortuse in room 109 or Ms. Brimhall in room 226 for important information to join the club.

On Monday, November 19th, a representative from AFS and the Speedwell Foundation will be in school periods 5,6 and 7 to meet with students interested in study abroad.  AFS supports students who want to spend a year abroad—either during high school  or post high school as a GAP year.  There are scholarships available.  This is an amazing opportunity to spend time in the country of your choosing. These are not just travel abroad experiences to Germany or Spain, but there are many choices of countries to choose from. There will also be an Ephrata student there, Destiny Ovensen-Stauffer, to share her experience in Germany last year.   If you are interested and would like to sign up, please see a language teacher in the building before Friday to get your name on the list..  Language teacher rooms are all located between rooms 128 and 138 on the first floor.

The school counseling office is holding a contest to look for artwork to feature on the cover of the 2019-2020 Course Selection Guide book.  If you are interested, please download a copy of the information sheet that has been posted to your Schoology newsfeed.  The submission deadline is November 20th, so don’t delay.
