5 MIN FILLER
Good Morning Ephrata! NAMES today is Friday March 17, 2023 and its St Patrick’s Day. Please rise for a moment of silence and a pledge to the flag.
Today in our theatre sprit week is dress up for opening night! Speaking of opening night, you have 3 more chances to see CINDERELLA! Shows run tonight and tomorrow at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.
Sophomores and Juniors: Interested in helping the Class of 2027 have a smoother transition to EHS next year? The Link Crew program is looking for YOU!!
Link Crew Leaders are upperclassmen who are solid role models for incoming 9th grade students. We are looking for responsible 10th and 11th graders with good communication skills and leadership potential who are willing to share the lessons they have learned that have allowed them to be successful at EHS. YOU could have a tremendous impact on our new students, and you will learn many valuable leadership skills in the process.
Link Leaders are trained to work with and help the incoming freshmen class transition into high school. If this sounds interesting to you, fill out an application right away (available in Schoology). Applications are due by Thursday, March 23rd @ 3:00pm. If you aren’t sure and would like to know more, please see Mrs. Mandell, Mrs. Calhoun, or Mr. Habowski for more details / information.
Underclassmen, please take a few minutes to review your course requests for next year by logging in to your PowerSchool portal. You can access requests by clicking on the “Class Registration” item under the Navigation menu on the left (where you selected your courses). If everything looks good, you are done. If you would like to change a non-teacher recommended course, just have your parent message your counselor with the course(s) that you would like to add and/or drop. If you would like to switch a teacher recommended course, be sure to complete a yellow Teacher Recommendation Change form – available from the Counseling Office or the Counseling Office webpage.
All change requests need to be made by March 31st. If you have questions, reach out to your counselor asap.
Now for a prom announcement and then over to __________ with the news
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Unless you’ve been living under the Blarney Stone you already know that March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. Also affectionately known as St. Paddy’s Day, it’s the one day each year that everyone and anyone can call themselves Irish – if not by birthright, then in spirit. If you have been living under the Blarney Stone, lucky you! We bet you can share a thing or two about how a religious feast day commemorating the famed Irish patron saint who brought Christianity to Ireland ended up being a day celebrated almost globally.
