The Ephrata Area School District appointed Timothy Rice as the new Ephrata Varsity Wrestling Coach. Mr. Rice is an Ephrata High School graduate who earned over 100 high school career victories and was a 4-time District qualifier while a Mountaineer. He has nine years of varsity coaching experience at Manheim Township High School and created and developed the current Ephrata Youth Wrestling program structure. In addition, Mr. Rice is a certified Division 1 NCAA Wrestling Official.

I’d like to thank the Ephrata Area School District for this opportunity to lead and continue to build the wrestling program here at Ephrata. “We are fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and experienced individual to take the reins and continue the growth of our wrestling program. Coach Rice will not only have a positive influence on our student-athletes on the mat but will serve as a positive role model to them as they grow as human beings. Mr. Rice is a Technology and Engineering Teacher at Manheim Township High School. He has a Bachelor of Education from Millersville University and a Master of Education from Scranton University.
