We are proud to again be a part of GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative. Since 2021, over $19,000 has been provided to help ensure all EASD students have adequate access to meals. Now – March 31 "round up at the register" to help support this worthy cause!

Happy New Year! It was great to kick off 2025 with so many smiling faces today!
Join us in congratulating these Mountaineers who completed the six-week Attollo program, meeting before school at 6AM three times a week, and focusing on the Six Pillars – Strong Mind, Competition, Resiliency, Accountability, Sacrifice, and Finishing Strong. Students set individualized plans of action and can now also solve the Rubiks Cube in under two minutes. IMPRESSIVE! Students shared they feel empowered by their hard work and dedication and “feel like they can accomplish anything.” #MountsPride #EASDLifeReady
These amazing Mountaineers - along with many classmates not pictured - hosted another fantastic Holiday Open House today with a variety of items they crafted themselves. This annual event features the work of EHS students in our life skills, autistic support, and Bridges classes. Students also use their communication and customer service skills to tour all shoppers through the open house and their math skills at the final point-of-sale station. Great job, Mountaineers!

Congratulations to our recent District 7 Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students. These Mountaineers completed a rigorous audition process to earn this recognition and participation in the PMEA D7 ensembles who will perform in January.

Last week, a group of EHS students and staff kicked off their holiday break with an NYC trip to experience the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museum of Art, including an exhibit of resilience by EHS alum Jesse Krimes. Students shared they also enjoyed seeing the artwork of Claude Monet, the armor & arms exhibit at The Met, and walking through Central Park.

After the EHS girls team placed 10th and the boys team placed 26th at the District III cross country meet last weekend, individual finalists Ella Pfautz and Kyle Reidenbaugh are headed to the state meet ! Congrats, Mountaineers & best wishes at states!
The annual 9th grade STEM Summit is an opportunity for students work together on a variety of projects themed around science, technology, engineering and math. Thank you to Jr. Achievement and the many volunteers who made this memorable day possible for our students!

This week kicked off the fall preschool session at EHS. High school students in early childhood courses lead a variety of learning sessions to help these young Mountaineers get ready for Kindergarten, from name interactive recognition/spelling activities to sensory crafts and much more!

The August School Board Resolutions included student athlete Softball Coaches Association state honors, Dr. Laura Mandell earning a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, and School Board members’ recognition for many commendable years of service.
