The August School Board Resolutions included student athlete Softball Coaches Association state honors, Dr. Laura Mandell earning a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, and School Board members’ recognition for many commendable years of service.

A graduation highlight every year is the nostalgic elementary walk when grads are energetically congratulated by younger Mountaineers and special moments with past teachers are revisited.

Our annual EASD ESL picnic was a huge success! 40+ families attended and brought food to share, local organizations shared how they can help families thrive, and games were organized by EHS Leo Club students. Thanks to our ESL families and staff who make this a successful event each year!

While some call it Teacher Appreciation Week, we embrace STAFF Appreciation Week at EASD. As this week draws to a close, we celebrate the commendable work of our entire Mountaineer team and the role they play in inspiring ALL students to reach their full potential. #MountsPride

It’s the 20th anniversary of the Ephrata Area Education Foundation! We are so grateful for all they do to support innovation and inspire achievement for our students and staff! Thanks to all who celebrated with us!

The Ephrata Area School District recently received a donation - over $3,500 - from the GIANT Company to be used within the Food Services Department. Through the Feeding School Kids initiative, the GIANT Company and its customers raised money to address the issue of childhood hunger throughout local public school districts in the communities they serve. Customers at GIANT stores were invited to round up their grocery purchases to the nearest dollar or convert their “choice” points into a donation for their local public schools’ food programs. “We are grateful for this donation. It will aid in ensuring that all students in the District have adequate access to meals, helping students to reach their full potential,” stated District Food Service Director Teri Gamez. On Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we extend a sincere thank you to these Mountaineers who go above and beyond every day. Their job is not an easy one, and we appreciate their hard work and dedication to making a difference in students' lives!

REMINDER: Students' spring break begins tomorrow Thursday, March 28 and runs through Monday, April 1. EASD offices will be closed on Friday, March 20 only. Best wishes for a safe and happy break. We will look forward to having students back on Tuesday, April 2.
