Pennsylvania Alternate State Assessment for Eligible Students
Approximately 1% of the total student population are determined eligible for the Pennsylvania Alternate State Assessment, also known as PASA. Eligibility is discussed by IEP teams and should be documented in your child’s Individualized Plan. Dynamic Learning Maps, or DLM, is the vendor used by the state of Pennsylvania for the online assessment which, for eligible students, is proctored by your learner’s special education teacher. For eligible students, "testlets" are administered during the instructional day in increments during an 8-week testing window from March to May. For more information on the PASA assessment, please see the attachments including eligibility criteria and frequently asked questions for parents. Any questions that you may have about the assessment can be directed to IEP teams or Laura Jordan at laura_jordan@easdpa.org.
