Life Ready Graduate
The Ephrata Area School District Life Ready Graduate (LRG) profile exists to prepare students to have a positive impact on an ever-changing world. The program aims to enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and dispositions beyond traditional content mastery and standardized assessments. The LRG profile is organized into three groups of traits labeled Knowledge, Skills, and Dispositions. The knowledge component includes traditional content areas required and tested by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, as well as a set of Life Ready Graduate content.
The Board of School Directors of the Ephrata Area School District believes that the purpose of our district is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that are valued by our community and the larger society and are essential for a successful life. The Board recognizes that to ensure students are heading on a path toward their full potential, a focus beyond standardized tests must be part of the exemplary academic programs for all students, regardless of the chosen career after high school.
