WHAT IS A FID?
A FID takes the place of a traditional school day that would be canceled due to inclement weather or an emergency situation.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Students access assignments remotely via online platforms, including Schoology, SeeSaw, etc. no later than 10:00 AM. Work should be completed by the start of the next live instructional day. If you experienced technology issues, a power outage, or other issues that prevented the work from being completed, please communicate with your child(ren)’s teacher(s) to submit the work at a later date.
DOES A FID NEED TO MADE UP?
No - A FID counts as an instructional day for school for students and staff.
HOW IS ATTENDANCE TRACKED ON A FID?
Parents/guardians will receive an email with a link to a short attendance survey. This survey should be completed at the conclusion of the FID to ensure student attendance is properly recorded. Please contact your building principal if there are any issues with completing this survey.
