Speech & Language Therapy

The purpose of school-based speech and language therapy in the Ephrata Area School District is to provide students support in order to fully participate in the academic setting. Speech and language services are provided by certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP). Sessions may target articulation (speech sounds), stuttering/fluency, pragmatic language, and expressive/receptive language. Students are seen in individual, small group, or classroom settings. Other responsibilities of an SLP include conducting screenings, completing evaluations, and collaborating with teachers and staff to implement strategies in the classroom.
