Special Education
The Ephrata Area School District provides a continuum of services for students determined to be eligible for special education services without discrimination or cost to the student or family. The district operates K-12 programs for Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Learning Support, and Life Skills Support. Policies and procedures are implemented which assure students with disabilities are included in the general education programs, extracurricular and non-academic programs, and activities to the maximum extent appropriate in accordance with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Students are educated in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) to meet their unique need.
