From approximately 1:45 – 2:10 PM, all EASD schools located within Ephrata Borough were without power. Clay and Akron Elementary schools were not impacted by this power outage. We were immediately in touch with Ephrata Borough officials, who worked with PPL to solve this issue. As of 2:10 PM, power was restored. During this short outage, the District relied on back-up generators to provide emergency lighting and power for essential operations in the schools impacted. Most importantly, all students and staff remained safe. Dismissal will occur as regularly scheduled. Thank you!
