This afternoon, we hosted our annual Retirement Reception to celebrate 13 beloved Mountaineers and over 323 years of combined service to EASD! Congratulations and best wishes in retirement. See all of our retirees here: https://youtu.be/qonOArER3Y8

Today, 8th graders exhibited many #EASDLifeReady traits during their final Cornerstone presentations, which are done “Shark Tank” style in front of a panel of five business leaders. Well done, Mountaineers!

Meet our newest Mountaineer! Bentley joined the team today as our newest facility dog.

It’s a beautiful day for Mountaineer Mini Golf! Fulton fourth-graders created multiple courses as part of a math activity and shared it with their younger schoolmates today. It was a huge hit!

Our annual EASD ESL picnic was a huge success! 40+ families attended and brought food to share, local organizations shared how they can help families thrive, and games were organized by EHS Leo Club students. Thanks to our ESL families and staff who make this a successful event each year!

More kindergarten fun with students and families today! What growth they’ve shown this school year! We are proud of you, Mountaineers!

Over 70 students in grades 6-8 received Mountaineer Recognition Awards today for embodying #EASDLifeReady traits and going above and beyond this school year. Congrats!

Happy Memorial Day! If you visited the Winters Memorial this weekend, the flags were placed there by Fulton Elementary School students. ❤️💙

Best wishes to these Mountaineers who are taking the #MountsPride to Shippensburg University for the state track meet!

There is no school for students tomorrow Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27. Best wishes for a safe and enjoyable long weekend!

What to do with outdated t-shirts? EHS students in Clothing & Design classes created these quilts with Mini-Thon t-shirts from previous school years. They were then raffled off at the Mini-Thon Duck Derby to raise money for Four Diamonds! Nice work, Mountaineers!

This week, the students in the EHS Life Skills Support class traveled to Akron Elementary School to mentor fellow Mountaineers in an elementary Life Skills Support class. They practiced safety in the community by walking to W Donuts and social skills by playing games, interacting, and eating lunch together.

Congrats to our winning Mountaineers featured in LNP today!

Clay Elementary School recently hosted a special (virtual) guest, licensed NFL agent and attorney Chris Cabott, who represents clients including Patrick Mahomes and Tua Tagovailoa. The fourth-graders were very engaged, as he spoke with them about the #EASDLifeReady benefits of hard work, dedication and making good choices.

Highland Kindergarteners recently showcased their academic achievements with their families by demonstrating their impressive progress in reading and proudly highlighting their book of accomplished math concepts. Well done, Mountaineers!

Meet A Mountaineer

These Mountaineers are still going strong in the WGAL BrainBusters competition. Watch them in round 3 of the competition versus Cedar Crest tomorrow, Saturday, May 18 at 1:00 PM.

Congrats to the Ephrata Middle School Students who successfully competed in the 2024 Lancaster County Middle School Envirothon held at the Lancaster County Conservation Park. Competing among five other school districts, Ephrata Middle School earned three out of the top five awards. #MountsPride #EASDLifeReady
Envirothon is an academic competition that focuses on Pennsylvania ecology and challenges students to collaborate and think critically. Students demonstrate their understanding of forestry, forest management, aquatics, and wildlife. Envirothon aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to educate others, inspire action in their local communities, and promote a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
