Akron Elementary School students have been exploring outer space in their very own mobile planetarium. StarLab has been at the school for the last week and has generated much excitement from students!

How would you answer this first grade writing prompt?

These students participated in the six-week Attollo Recruit program, meeting before school from 5:30 – 7:00 AM three times a week! They focused on Six Pillars – Strong Mind, Competition, Resiliency, Accountability, Sacrifice, and Finishing Strong. Students set individualized plans of action and can NOW also solve the Rubiks Cube in under two minutes. IMPRESSIVE! By the end of the six weeks, students have shared they feel empowered by their hard work and dedication and “feel like they can accomplish anything.”

Clay Elementary School students recently completed a storytelling project that will teach their classmates about people and cultures from around the world. “It was a great team-building exercise…great collaboration,” shared Mr. Kyle Miller, Library Media Specialist. #BecomingEASD #MountsPride
